Getting Started
Start transcribing in three simple steps
1. Install Encrybe
Download the installer for your platform (Windows or Mac) from the official website. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. On first launch, Encrybe will download the speech recognition model for your language.
2. Transcribe Your Audio
Drag and drop an audio or video file onto the app window, or click to select a file. Supported formats include MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, MP4, MOV, and more. Select your language and click Start. All processing happens locally on your computer — your audio is never uploaded.
3. Review & Export
Once transcription is complete, review the text with speaker labels and timestamps. Edit any segment by double-clicking, add bookmarks to important sections, and search the transcript. Export to Word (.docx), PDF, or SRT subtitle format with one click.
Tips for Best Results
- Use clear audio with minimal background noise for best accuracy
- For long recordings, use batch processing — drop multiple files or an entire folder
- Use keyword search to quickly find specific content across all your transcription history
- Use timestamp bookmarks to mark important moments, then filter to review only bookmarked sections
- Enable AI Summary in Settings to generate structured meeting notes with key topics, decisions, and action items after each transcription
